Future of Publishing?

Has anyone read the article by Random House big Jason Epstein in New York Review of Books, topic the future of publishing? He's not objective, needless to say, and he believes his kind of publishing still HAS a future, which may or may not be the case. (I only scanned the piece-- so give me your feedback, please.)

My initial thoughts on this issue are that publishers who can adapt to the new world will survive, and those too tied to old ways will die off. New companies unburdened by legacy procedures will be born. And all of this is good.

The constant is people love stories, always have, always will. It's just a matter of how to deliver the goods.

Wunner if he's related to the Epstien from Yale who was running UCAL as head honcho and also the big construct that paid a lot of money out to deface 52nd Street and Market with coopted deconstructed Cornbread tags in order to rub the blacks nose in the immanent domain stain namely 40th Street Artists In Residence.
He's no longer "here" but has been moved on after certain coincidences I believe provoked by some role playing situationalist....
